Taper Washer

...

Taper Washers, also known as Bevel Washers, are structural fasteners specifically designed to compensate for the lack of parallelism between the bearing surface of a bolt head or nut and the sloped flanges of structural profiles. Standard steel channels (U-beams) and I-beams typically feature flanges with an 8% or 14% slope; tightening a standard flat washer on these surfaces causes bending stress on the bolt shank, leading to premature fatigue failure. Our Inconel Taper Washers are precision-machined with a matching 8% (DIN 434) or 14% (DIN 435) wedge angle to ensure a perfectly perpendicular clamping force. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant alloys like Inconel 625, these washers are critical for securing structural supports in offshore platforms, chemical plants, and marine environments where structural integrity cannot be compromised by galvanic corrosion.
