Belleville Washers, technically known as Conical Spring Washers or Disc Springs, are precision-engineered components designed to maintain high tension (preload) in bolted assemblies subject to extreme thermal cycling, bolt creep, or vibration. Unlike flat washers, Bellevilles act as powerful springs; they deflect under load and rebound to compensate for any relaxation in the joint, effectively "live-loading" the flange to prevent leakage. While standard steel springs relax and fail above 250°C, our Inconel Belleville Washers are manufactured from precipitation-hardened superalloys like Inconel X-750 and Inconel 718. These grades retain their spring properties up to 700°C, making them the industry standard for securing valves, heat exchangers, and bus bars in power generation and petrochemical plants. We manufacture these to DIN 2093 and DIN 6796 standards.
